Endorphin Soup™ was developed by Bill Oster because of his long-term interest in complementary medicine and his desire to find affordable, self-soothing tools to enhance his TREⓇ experience. He reached out to experts in various fields and collaborated with Meg Deak and Susan Shifman to help develop Endorphin Soup.
The contributors to Endorphin Soup are:
Susan Shifman is an Endorphin Soup™ Teacher and Certified TRE® Trainer. Her path to TRE® and Endorphin Soup™ began when she retired from IBM leaving a career in management and executive coaching. She retired with a hefty “benefits” package of lingering physical tightness, tension and pain build up over decades of Type-A work habits. In her quest to learn ways of releasing these pent-up stresses, she found her passion for empowering others to heal themselves of stress and trauma using simple, inexpensive self-help tools. Susan created a downloadable video, Exercise Modifications for TRE® to aid those who may be physically challenged. (The video is available at www.treforall.com.) Susan is a member of the National Council for Behavioral Health and was certified as an instructor for their Mental Health First Aid Curriculum. She is also a yoga teacher and Reiki practitioner.
Meg Deak has a Masters of Creative Arts in Therapy and is a licensed professional counselor, educator and workshop leader. After experiencing career stress burnout in 1978, Meg began to explore the pathways to emotional well-being as well as the holistic impact of energy, vibration, sound and music. Especially interested in the role of the voice in healing, Meg became a music therapist and discovered ways to find and release tension and trauma with the voice. She is a certified EFT practitioner and Endorphin Soup™ Teacher. Her popular workshops included Tapping Into Joy and Sounding the Breath ~ Singing the Soul. Meg is a member of the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology. For more information : www.LRSOUNDENERGY.COM
